SecureComms Privacy Notice

The SecureComms Application, provided by the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) is designed to provide secure communications for its subscribed users. This privacy notice describes what personal data is processed through the SecureComms application Website. User data

The Application processes user data, including user-generated data to provide the secure communication service.

In addition, UNICC processes non-personal, aggregated data relating to the use of the Application to ensure the security of the application and user data.

Data security

UNICC stores user data in its private cloud, UNIQCloud. All information is encrypted at rest and in transit, and all UNICC security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, modification or destruction are implemented according to UNICC applicable policies.

Data Processors

In addition to the relevant identity providers, UNICC relies on New Vector Limited to provide the secure communication service.

Data Retention

User data and user generated data processed to provide the service is retained for the entire duration of the provision of the service.

Aggregated data used to secure the application is retained for 1 year on the UNICC on prem SIEM.

Your rights

You can exercise some of your rights, such as access and deletion, through the application. In addition, you can contact UNICC data protection officer at [email protected] or the relevant service owner to obtain any additional information required or to exercise your rights if not enabled by the application.

Nothing contained in or relating to this Privacy Notice, or done pursuant to it, shall be construed as a waiver of any of the privileges and immunities enjoyed by UNICC under national or international law, and/or as submitting UNICC to any national court jurisdiction. Without limiting the generality of the previous sentence, any disclosure of Personal Data in response to a request for disclosure in accordance with this Policy, will not constitute a waiver, express or implied, of any of the privileges and immunities of UNICC.
